Chris & Cristalynn (Houston Engagement Photographer)

I love hearing stories of proposals, love and new beginnings.... Chris and Cristalynn are getting married this fall and they have an adorable story.... Cristalynn gave me permission to share so here goes. These are her words....

"I was cooking, He came into the kitchen, pulled me away from my burning dinner, and proceeded to tell me how much he cared for me and how happy he was that we are together and making a life for ourselves. He continued on(while my dinner was burning) and reassured me that, one day, he would marry me, and that we would have the wedding I had always dreamed about... but that getting engaged was a big financial step and we needed more time.

It was then that he pulled out a box (a ring box), and he told me that he had picked something up for me, it reminded him of me, and that it wasn't an engagement ring... but something to keep my finger warm...

At this point my heart was RACING because I knew, at any moment... we were going to start the next step in our journey together...

When he opened the box... I couldn't believe my eyes!!!

The ring he held in his hand was certainly not an engagement ring... it was one of those stretchy, fake jeweled rings that are supposed to be a 'one size fits all'... the only thing I could say was that it was the thought that counts...

As I stood there, listening to him go on about how he feels about me, I couldn't help but love him more because I knew how much he wanted to marry me, and I was willing to wait for as long as he needed until he could afford the ring he thought would be perfect for me. He can be so romantic at times...

(keep in mind that my dinner was still burning and my OCD was not allowing me to fully concentrate on what he had to say)

He put the fake jeweled, stretchy ring on my finger and I started to step away to finish dinner...

That was when he dropped to one knee and took out the most beautiful ring I've ever seen... with the most mischievous smile on his face...

...he asked me to marry him...

And I said yes "

Thank you for choosing me to follow you on this wonderful Journey! I can't wait for October!
